Dormeco Industrial Supplies was founded In 1964 by Karl-Erich Meyer, formerly general manager of Tambour Paints as an agency company for industrial raw materials for the paint industry in Israel.
Second generation members joined later and the activity of the company expanded to additional fields such as food industry and water treatment.
Dormeco was founded in 1995 as an affiliated company to Ormeca in order to widen the services rendered by the company and offer customers prompt delivery of products from local stock.
With the expansion in Dormeco activity it was decided to merge the operations of the two companies into one, and from 2010 all business was consolidated under the name Dormeco Ltd.
Dormeco is managed currently by Doron Meyer, the son of the founder who is a chemical engineer, other family members play an active role in the company.
